watches, fish, and matrix reviews

this weekend, jeremy bought me a new watch. ever since my casio broke a few years ago, i've been wearing this silver and black no brand piece of crap. every time i want to change the time or date, i end up pressing buttons all night. so he found my old watch... like 14 bucks at walmart... and got that.

he also bought dessy a present. it's a pink fish with a bell. the fish has an information pad on the back of it incase she gets lost. that's doubtful though since she's terrified of the outdoors. she's worked her way to the outside of the door before but runs back inside every time she hears a loud noise.

i read the matrix reloaded review today on CNN. i was pretty disappointed with the review.. so i looked up CNN's review for the original Matrix and it was just as bad. this gives me hope. it sounds like the reviewers both can't grasp the complexity of the plot. they think it's all a bunch of buddhist, spiritual hooopla...

Matrix Reloaded Review: Review: 'Matrix' visually stunning, but empty
"As in the original, "The Matrix Reloaded" is full of mumbo-jumbo regarding spiritualism and Eastern philosophy, mixed with Hong Kong-style martial arts fights, cyberpunk action, and slam edits."

Review: 'Matrix' offers tales from the cryptic
"The Matrix" is like last year's "Dark City." It lets you know early on that it won't be making a bit of sense, then repeatedly tries to convince you that the nonsense is actually deep and meaningful."
